これまでのレザー業界では、弾かれてしまう色むらをあえて活かし、メスイノシシを取り合うためにヨロイという脂肪の塊を身に纏った、冬のオスイノシシのジビエレザーで使った作品です♪

猟師さんたちに駆除されたイノシシが
自然の恵みの食として利活用され
その際に不要とされた“いのちのカケラ”である毛皮をジビエレザー作品に生まれ変わらせています。

イノシシ革の耐用年数は20年以上といわれ
その丈夫さで長い間使っていただけますが
いつかその役目を終える時がきたら
地球に負荷をかげず終えることができる様に
出来る限り、天然素材で制作しています。

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

“Makimono” Roll-Up Leather Case

This roll-up leather case gently protects your precious pens and tools, preventing them from getting scratched, making it ideal as a pen case or tool holder. Its compact, streamlined design keeps everything neatly in place.

The flap section with the sewn tie can hold a ruler up to 18 cm.

This piece is made from an extremely rare type of Gibier leather, making it a true one-of-a-kind creation you won’t find elsewhere.

In the past, leather with natural color variations was often rejected in the industry. We embraced these variations to craft this piece from winter male boar leather, which carries armor-like fat for competing with female boars. The result is a wild texture and unique presence.

Over time, the leather will gain shine and deepen in color, allowing you to appreciate its strength and character as it ages.

The wild boars culled by hunters are used as food from nature, and the unused “fragments of life” – the fur – are transformed into Gibier leather creations.

Wild boar leather is said to last over 20 years, providing long-term durability. When its life as a tool ends, we ensure that it can return to the earth with minimal environmental impact, using as many natural materials as possible.

This leather is sourced from boars culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, and processed entirely in the Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD atelier, turning fur into leather by hand.
