From hide to leather. This is hand-dyed indigo gibier leather, made from undyed natural vegetable-tanned leather. By intentionally creating a gradient pattern, you can enjoy the deep, rich aging of both the natural leather and the indigo dye over time. This particular piece carries many natural marks— scratches, rounded scars, and other traces from the boar’s life in the mountains. These marks will grow more beautiful as the leather ages, becoming glossy, smooth, and full of character. Every item we make by hand is truly one of a kind. Wild boar leather is said to last over 20 years. In Europe, it is considered a luxury leather strong enough to pass down through generations.
