ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

This wallet is made from Gibier Leather, crafted from wild boar hides. The lives of these animals were taken out of necessity to protect human communities, but instead of discarding them, this piece was created with the intention of honoring them fully and using every bit carefully.

Because it’s something you use every day, we believe that the choices you make and the way you live with them can shape the future.

This wallet is made exclusively from wild boar leather culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, and transformed from fur to leather at the HUMMINGBIRD atelier.

The number of culled wild boars has been increasing every year, and most are currently discarded. These lives were taken out of necessity, and we hope to honor them fully. Every wallet is finished by hand with this intention in mind.

Wild boar leather is said to last over 20 years. In Europe, it is treated as a premium leather—lighter and stronger than cowhide—and is passed down through generations, sometimes transforming a grandfather’s bag into a grandson’s wallet. Historically in Japan, it was even used for the headgear of firefighters.
• Resistant to water, friction, and scratches
• Very lightweight (approx. 2/3 the weight of cowhide)
• Maintenance-free leather with properties similar to human skin
• Tanned using all-natural ingredients, safe for everyone from babies to the elderly

Notes Before Purchase
• As this is natural leather, variations in color, scratches, wrinkles, dark spots, or whitening may occur due to the leather’s natural characteristics or chemical reactions during dyeing.
• Wild scratches are a testament to the boar’s life in the mountains and are unique to wild leather.
• At HUMMINGBIRD, except in areas affecting durability, we deliberately leave these marks as part of the leather’s individuality and story. We hope you enjoy the character of wild leather.
• The leather is tanned and dyed using natural ingredients such as mimosa and acacia, so color may vary depending on season or individual hides.
• Natural leather may stain or discolor if exposed to rain or sweat, and may transfer color to clothing. If wet, wipe off moisture and dry in the shade.
• Leather is delicate; please handle with care to ensure long-lasting use.
