The button is made from a wild deer antler from Kumamoto, kindly provided by a hunter, adding a unique touch to the design. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, using the natural edges of the leather. In Isahaya, Nagasaki, where we live, wild deer antlers are extremely rare, making this one especially precious. Wild boar leather is extremely durable, lasting over 20 years. In Europe, it is regarded as premium leather, lighter and stronger than cowhide, often passed down through generations. Historically, it was even used for firefighter hoods in Japan.
