こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

This piece is crafted from genuine wild boar leather,
sourced from animals culled in Isahaya, Nagasaki.

At the atelier of Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD,
each hide is carefully transformed—by hand—
from fur into leather.

As the number of culled wild boars continues to rise each year,
most of these lives are simply discarded.

Lives that could not be spared—
we believe they deserve to be honored,
to be carried forward with care,
to the very end.

With this intention,
every piece is meticulously handmade.

Wild boar leather is known to last over 20 years.
In Europe, it has long been valued as a leather to be “passed down through generations.”
Stronger and lighter than cowhide,
a grandfather’s bag can be remade into a grandchild’s wallet.

It is regarded as a luxurious material, comparable to ostrich or crocodile leather.
In Japan, it was even used historically for firemen’s protective hoods.

◎ Extremely lightweight (about 2/3 the weight of cowhide)
◎ Similar in composition to human skin, making it low-maintenance
◎ Tanned and dyed using only natural ingredients—safe for all ages, from babies to the elderly

[Before You Purchase]
• As this is natural leather, each piece may feature unique variations such as uneven coloring, scars, wrinkles, or natural markings. Black speckles or light patches may also appear due to natural dye reactions.
• Marks from life in the wild are proof that the boar lived freely in nature—these are unique to wild leather.
• At HUMMINGBIRD, we intentionally preserve these natural marks (except where durability is affected), embracing them as part of the leather’s individuality and story.
• Our leather is tanned and dyed using plant-based ingredients such as mimosa and acacia. Color tones may vary depending on the season and individual hide.
• Please note that moisture from rain or sweat may cause discoloration or color transfer onto clothing. If wet, gently wipe and dry in the shade.
• Leather is a delicate material—please handle with care and enjoy it for many years to come.
