それぞれ、ひとつずつですが

キャメルのバネ口ポーチは
イノシシ革で1番分厚い
タテガミ部分の革を使用したので
しっかりとした作りになっています。
バネ口の部分は
片手でパカっと開けられて便利。
立体感のある三角ポーチなので
たくさんものを入れられます。

イエローとヌメ革の巾着は
猟師さんからいただいた、
熊本の鹿の角を使って作りました。
角を持って、ひもを引っ張れば
しゅーっと簡単に
巾着の口を閉じる事ができます。

この作品は、ボタンまですべて
ヌメ革のみで作りました。
経年変化を何より味わえる、無染色のヌメ革。
ツヤツヤの飴色になるまで
育てていただけたらうれしいです

こちらの３兄妹はすべて
手縫いで仕上げています。

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。
⚪︎革はデリケートです。お取り扱いに注意して末永くご愛用いただきますようお願いいたします。

① Camel Spring-Frame Pouch

This pouch is made from the thickest part of wild boar leather—the mane area—giving it a firm and sturdy structure.
The spring-frame opening allows you to open it easily with one hand.
With its triangular, three-dimensional shape, it can hold more items than it looks.

② Yellow & Natural Drawstring Pouch (with Deer Antler)

For this pouch, I used deer antler from Kumamoto, gifted to us by a hunter.
By holding the antler and pulling the cord, you can easily slide the drawstring closed.

③ Fully Natural Leather Pouch (Vegetable-tanned)

This piece is made entirely from natural, undyed leather—buttons included.
It develops a deep, shiny amber color over time.
I hope you will enjoy nurturing it as it ages beautifully.

About the Leather

These pieces are made exclusively from wild boar leather sourced from animals culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki.
At our HUMMINGBIRD studio, we process the hides starting from the raw skin.

Wild boar culling numbers continue to rise every year,
and the sad reality is that most are simply discarded.

Because their lives were taken out of necessity,
we want to honor them—
and use what remains with care, right to the very end.

That is why every step is done by hand.

The Strength of Wild Boar Leather

Wild boar leather is known to last over 20 years.
In Europe, it is valued as a premium material—light yet strong—
and is even called “leather to pass on to your grandchildren.”
It is so durable that a grandfather’s bag can be remade into a grandchild’s wallet.
In Japan as well, it was once used for firefighters’ protective hoods.

Advantages of Wild Boar Leather
•Very resistant to water, friction, and scratches
•Extremely lightweight (about 2/3 the weight of cowhide)
•Maintenance-free, as its structure is similar to human skin
•Tanned entirely with natural materials like mimosa and acacia—safe for babies and elders alike

Before Purchasing
•As this is natural leather, variations such as uneven color, scars, wrinkles, dark spots, or whitening from chemical reactions during dyeing may appear.
•Wild marks are proof that the boar lived in the mountains; they are unique to wild leather.
•At HUMMINGBIRD, we intentionally keep natural marks and scars (except where they affect strength) as part of the boar’s story.
•Color may vary slightly depending on the season or individual hide, as all tanning and dyeing use natural ingredients such as mimosa and acacia.
•If the leather becomes wet from rain or sweat, stains or color fading may occur. Please wipe off moisture thoroughly and dry in the shade.
•Leather is delicate, so please handle with care and enjoy it for many years.
