アトリエにて藍染した野生イノシシの革から、小さな小さなファスナーポーチが完成しました♫

駆除された野生イノシシの“いのちのカケラ“が
手の中に収まるほど小さくて可愛いポーチに
生まれ変わりました。

コインケース、ピルケース、印鑑ケースなど使い方は自由♫

側に置いて永く大切に使ってくれる方に
繋がると嬉しいです。

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

From hand–indigo-dyed wild boar leather, dyed in our atelier,
this tiny zipper pouch was carefully crafted with love ♫

Fragments of life from a culled wild boar
have been reborn as a small, charming pouch that fits perfectly in your hand.

Use it freely as a coin case, pill case, or stamp case —
the possibilities are yours ♫

We would be happy if it finds its way to someone
who will keep it close and cherish it for a long time.

About the Leather

This pouch is made exclusively from genuine wild boar leather.
The boars were culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture,
and their hides were carefully transformed from fur into leather
at the Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD atelier.

The number of wild boars culled each year continues to increase,
and sadly, most of their hides are still discarded.

These lives were taken out of necessity.
At the very least, we wish to honor them
by using every part with care and respect.

With this belief, each piece is finished entirely by hand.

About Wild Boar Leather

Wild boar leather is known to last over 20 years.
In Europe, it is valued as leather that can be passed down to the next generation —
so durable that a grandfather’s bag can be remade into a grandchild’s wallet.

Despite its strength, wild boar leather is lighter and stronger than cowhide,
and is treated as a luxury material alongside ostrich and crocodile leather.
In Japan, it was once used for firefighters’ protective hoods.
