生まれ変わりました。

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

A “fragment of life” from a culled wild boar has been reborn
into a small and adorable pouch that fits right in the palm of your hand.

Use it freely—as a coin case, pill case, small stamp holder, and more.
I hope it reaches someone who will keep it close and use it with care for many years.

All leather used in this item comes from wild boars culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture,
and processed from raw hide to finished leather in the atelier of
Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD.

The number of wild boars being culled in Japan increases each year,
yet most of them are simply discarded.

These lives were taken out of necessity —
so at the very least, we want to honor each life to the very end.

With that belief, every step of the creation is done entirely by hand.

About Wild Boar Leather

Wild boar leather is known to last over 20 years.
In Europe, its strength and lightness—stronger and lighter than cowhide—
have earned it the name “leather passed down to the grandchildren.”
It is regarded as a high-end leather, comparable to ostrich and crocodile,
so durable that a grandfather’s bag could be remade into a grandchild’s wallet.

In Japan, it was once used for the protective hoods worn by traditional fire brigades.
•Highly resistant to water, friction, and scratches
•Extremely lightweight (⅔ the weight of cowhide)
•Maintenance-free, as its composition is close to human skin
•Tanned and dyed entirely with natural ingredients such as mimosa and acacia
— safe for everyone from babies to the elderly

Before Purchasing
•As this is natural leather, color variations, scars, wrinkles, dark specks, or whitening caused by dye reactions may appear.
•Marks from life in the wild are proof that the boar lived in the mountains and are unique to wild leather.
•At Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD, we intentionally keep natural marks—unless they compromise strength—as a part of the leather’s individuality and the boar’s story.
•Since we use leather tanned and dyed with natural ingredients, colors may vary depending on the season and the individual hide.
•Natural leather may stain or discolor when exposed to water (rain or sweat), and color transfer may occur. If it becomes wet, gently wipe away moisture and dry it in the shade.
•Please handle with care and enjoy the long life of natural leather.
