蜜蝋でロウ引きした麻糸の総手縫い仕上げです

イノシシ革の重さは牛革と比べて約1/3で

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

Small Lid Pen Case for Two Pens

I realized that in daily life, we usually use only two pens, so I made a compact pen case with a lid to hold just those two.

This piece is entirely hand-stitched using wild boar leather and beeswax-coated linen thread.

Compared to cowhide, wild boar leather is about 1/3 the weight, making it perfect for everyday use in your bag or even in a suit pocket. This small case is ideal for protecting your favorite everyday pens with the natural softness and strength of wild boar leather.

This leather comes from wild boars culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, and is processed entirely by hand at the Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD atelier, turning fur into leather.

The number of wild boars culled each year is increasing, and the majority are currently discarded. We aim to honor their lives by using every piece carefully and crafting each product by hand.
