藍染めのイノシシレザーで
さんかくコインケースを作りました

どちらも
イノシシが生きていた時についた傷
（＝野生傷）が多くみられます
どのような暮らしをしてきたのだろう。。。
と思いを馳せてしまいます

藍のグラデーションがハッキリと見える
強さを感じる作品に仕上がりました

落ち着いた空気をまといながらも
野生傷が強さを物語っています
派手さはないけれど、芯の強さを感じる

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され、
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になったイノシシ本革のみを使っています。

イノシシの駆除数は年々増加しており、
そのほとんどが廃棄されている現状があります。
やむを得ず、駆除されたいのちを
大切に、最後までいただきたいという想いで
丁寧に手作業で仕上げています。

イノシシ革は20年以上の耐久性があり、
日本だけでなく、ヨーロッパでも
非常に高級な革として評価されています。
水や摩擦、引っかき傷に強く、
軽くて取り扱いやすいのも魅力です。

We have created triangle-shaped coin cases from hand-dyed indigo wild boar leather, each piece carefully dyed in our atelier.

Both of these pieces show many scars from the boar’s life in the wild—marks that make you wonder what kind of life they lived.

① The Playful One

Covered with evidence of running freely through the mountains, this piece carries the story of a lively life.
The indigo gradient is clear and striking, giving the piece a strong and dynamic presence.

② The Calm One

Wrapped in deep indigo, this piece has a serene and quiet aura.
The wild scars hint at the strength within, offering a sense of inner resilience rather than flashy appearance.

We hope these coin cases find a home with someone who feels:
“I want to live alongside this one,” or “I want to be close to it.”

These pieces use only genuine wild boar leather culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki, and transformed from hide to leather at the HUMMINGBIRD atelier.

The number of culled boars is increasing yearly, and most are still discarded.
Out of respect for these lives, each piece is carefully handcrafted to honor them fully.

Wild boar leather is highly durable, lasting over 20 years, and is valued as a luxury leather in both Japan and Europe.
It is resistant to water, friction, and scratches, lightweight, and easy to handle.

• This product is made from natural leather, so color variations, scars, and wrinkles are natural characteristics.
