ジビエレザーの厚さは1.5mm前後です。

飲み物や食べ物のソースでシミや汚れになってしまってる気になる場合は手洗いしてからタオルに挟んで陰干しすると良いです◎
その際は、色移りしても気にならないタオルをご使用ください。

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。
⚪︎革はデリケートです。お取り扱いに注意して末永くご愛用いただきますようお願いいたします。

Gibier Leather Coasters

We’ve created unique coasters, each with its own individual character, from Gibier leather.

The design features cut edges of a single piece of leather, adding a touch of natural charm to your table.

Perfect not only for hot drinks but also for cold beverages like iced coffee—Gibier leather absorbs condensation from cups effectively.

When the leather gets wet and then dries, it hardens slightly in its shape, so each time you use it, it lies flat like a proper coaster.

Vegetable-tanned Gibier leather develops beautiful character over time, and watching it age is truly delightful.

Every day, you can choose which coaster to use, making it a fun and exciting addition to your table.

The leather thickness is around 1.5 mm.

If your coasters get stained from drinks or food, hand wash them and air dry between towels. Be sure to use towels where color transfer won’t be a problem.

These coasters are made from wild boar leather culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, and transformed from fur to leather at the Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD atelier.

The number of wild boars culled each year is increasing, and most are discarded.
With care and respect for these lives, every piece is handmade.

About Wild Boar Leather:
• Durable for over 20 years
• In Europe, wild boar leather is lighter and stronger than cowhide, considered “leather to be passed down for generations”, comparable to ostrich or crocodile leather
• Historically used in Japan for firefighter hoods
• Resistant to water, friction, and scratches
• Very lightweight (2/3 the weight of cowhide)
• Maintenance-free, composition similar to human skin
• Tanned with all-natural ingredients, safe for everyone from babies to the elderly

• Leather is tanned with natural ingredients like mimosa and acacia, so color may vary by season or individual animal.
• Rain or sweat may cause staining or color transfer. If wet, gently wipe and air dry in the shade.
• Leather is delicate—please handle with care to enjoy it for years.
