こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

Colorful Gibier Leather Collage Tote Bag

A unique tote bag made from Gibier leather, featuring the natural curves of the leather edges (known as the “heri”).

The natural curves of the edges actually come from the knife marks left by hunters when the boar hides were removed.

“At Hummingbird, we want to honor everyone involved before this Gibier leather reaches you.”

With this philosophy, we have created many pieces incorporating these edge curves, and this tote bag is the largest and most remarkable piece in our collection.

The collage design evolves over time differently than single-piece leather items.
Areas where the leather overlaps will develop a beautiful shine first, creating a rich and unique gradient.

We hope this bag finds a home with someone who will cherish it like family.

This leather comes from wild boars culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture and is transformed into leather entirely by hand at the Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD atelier.

The number of wild boars culled each year is increasing, and most of them are discarded.
We craft each piece by hand with the hope of honoring the life that was lost.

Wild Boar Leather Features:
• Durable for over 20 years
• In Europe, regarded as “leather to be passed down for generations”, stronger and lighter than cowhide, comparable to ostrich or crocodile leather
• Historically used in Japan for firefighter hoods
• Resistant to water, friction, and scratches
• Very lightweight (2/3 the weight of cowhide)
• Maintenance-free, similar in composition to human skin
• Tanned with all-natural ingredients, safe for everyone from babies to the elderly
