私たちの住む長崎県諫早市には
野生の鹿の角はいないため
このツノはわたしたちにとって
とても貴重なもの。

そのまま飾るか悩みましたが
みなさんにお届けできるよう
作品として、つなぐことに決めました

この子たちを見て、
「一緒に暮らしたい」
「寄り添いたい」

こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

Medicine Pouch Made from Wild Boar Leather

A medication pouch crafted from wild boar leather is now complete.

Equipped with a snap hook, it can be easily attached to your bag, keychain, or belt loop.
The button is made from a wild deer antler from Kumamoto, kindly provided by a hunter, adding a unique touch to the design.

Every piece is one-of-a-kind, using the natural edges of the leather.
Take a moment to appreciate the different expressions of each individual boar.

Perfect for carrying medication, lip balm, or other small essentials, keeping them always close at hand.

In Isahaya, Nagasaki, where we live, wild deer antlers are extremely rare, making this one especially precious.
Although we considered keeping it as a display, we decided to transform it into a functional piece so it could be shared with you.

We hope this little companion finds a home with someone who feels:
“I want to live with it” or “I want it close to me.”

This pouch is made from wild boar leather culled in Isahaya, Nagasaki, processed in the HUMMINGBIRD atelier from hide to leather.

The number of culled boars increases every year, and most are currently discarded.
We believe that even lives taken out of necessity should be honored and cherished until the very end, which is why every piece is carefully handmade.

Wild boar leather is known to last over 20 years.
In Europe, it is lighter and stronger than cowhide, regarded as a leather that can be passed down to grandchildren, comparable to luxury leathers like ostrich or crocodile.
Historically in Japan, it was even used in firefighter headgear.

• Very lightweight (about 2/3 the weight of cowhide)
• Maintenance-free leather similar in composition to human skin
• Eco-friendly, tanned with all-natural ingredients, safe for everyone from babies to the elderly

Before Purchasing
• As this product is made from natural leather, variations in color, scars, wrinkles, and spots from chemical reactions during dyeing may appear.
• Wild scars are proof of the boar’s life and unique to wild leather.
• HUMMINGBIRD preserves each leather’s individuality, except where structural integrity would be affected, allowing you to enjoy the story of the boar’s life.
• Leather is tanned and dyed with natural ingredients from mimosa and acacia. Colors may vary depending on the season and the individual hide.
• Leather may develop stains or discoloration from water or sweat, and may rub off on clothing. If wet, wipe gently and dry in the shade.
• Leather is delicate; please handle with care to enjoy it for years.
