こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

Hand-dyed one by one in our atelier,
this indigo-dyed leather has been crafted into a beautiful bifold wallet.

Its serene gradient—resembling a sandy beach meeting the ocean—
makes this piece truly one of a kind.

We redesigned the classic bifold wallet,
making it slightly larger and adding a belt-style snap closure.
This helps keep the wallet securely closed inside your bag,
so you can use it with confidence.

This design was originally created from a customer’s request.

The indigo-dyed leather features a unique gradient pattern,
meaning each card pocket and every detail carries its own expression—
no two wallets are ever the same.

We would be delighted if this piece finds a home
with someone who will cherish it for many years to come.

All leather used by Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD comes exclusively from wild boars
culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki.
The hides are processed from raw skin into leather entirely in our atelier.

The number of boars culled each year continues to rise,
yet most of them are simply discarded.

Because these animals were taken out of necessity,
we hope to honor their lives by using their materials with care—right to the very end.

With that belief at heart, every step of the process is done by hand.

Wild boar leather is known as a material that can last over 20 years.
In Europe, its strength and lightness—stronger and lighter than cowhide—
have earned it the name “leather to pass down to your grandchildren.”
It is valued alongside ostrich and crocodile as a premium leather.
In Japan as well, it was once used for headgear worn by traditional firefighters.

◎ Maintenance-free leather with properties similar to human skin
◎ Eco-leather tanned and dyed entirely with natural ingredients,

Before Purchasing

– Because this is natural leather, color irregularities, wrinkles, scars, and
　dark spots or whitening caused by chemical reactions during dyeing may be present.
– Wild scars are proof of the boar’s life in the mountains
　and are characteristics unique to wild leather.
– At Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD, we intentionally leave such natural marks—
　except for areas that affect durability—
　as part of the leather’s individuality and the animal’s story.
– Our leather is tanned and dyed using natural ingredients such as mimosa and acacia,
　so colors may vary depending on the season and the individual hide.
– Natural leather may stain or discolor when exposed to water, rain, or sweat,
　and color transfer to clothing may occur.
　If it becomes wet, wipe it thoroughly and dry it in the shade.
– Leather is delicate. Please handle with care
　to enjoy it for many years.
