こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

【English Product Description】

This coin case, designed to also hold bills,
was created in response to a customer’s order and is now part of HUMMINGBIRD’s indigo-dyed series.

The indigo leather is hand-dyed in our atelier,
carefully creating a gradient effect.
Over time, this gradient develops a rich, glossy patina,
deepening in color and becoming even more beautiful with age.

This design is familiar as a leather coin case,
but it’s an all-in-one mini wallet—
it can hold coins, bills, and cards all together.

Perfect for quick outings or as a secondary wallet,
especially for those who carry only a few cards.

Every piece is meticulously hand-stitched,
and we hope it will find a home with someone who will treasure it for years to come.

All leather used by Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD comes exclusively from wild boars
culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki, and is transformed from raw hide into leather entirely in our atelier.

The number of boars culled continues to increase each year,
yet most are still discarded.

Because these lives were taken out of necessity,
we aim to honor them by using every part carefully and respectfully.

Each piece is entirely handmade with this belief in mind.

Wild boar leather is known to last over 20 years.
In Europe, its strength and lightness—lighter and stronger than cowhide—
have earned it the title of “leather to pass down to grandchildren.”
Grandfather’s bag can be remade into a wallet for a grandchild.
It is valued alongside ostrich and crocodile as a premium leather.
In Japan, it was also historically used for headgear worn by traditional firefighters.

Before Purchasing

– This product is made from natural leather; irregularities in color, wrinkles, scars,
　or dark spots/whitening from chemical reactions during dyeing may appear.
– Wild scars are evidence of the boar’s life in the mountains and are unique to wild leather.
– At Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD, we intentionally leave such natural marks—
　except in areas affecting durability—
　to honor the individual story of each animal.
– Leather is tanned and dyed using natural ingredients such as mimosa and acacia,
　so color may vary depending on the season and the individual hide.
– Natural leather may discolor or stain when exposed to water, rain, or sweat,
　and color transfer to clothing may occur.
　If it gets wet, wipe thoroughly and dry in the shade.
– Leather is delicate; please handle with care to enjoy it for many years.
