こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで
全て手作業で仕上げています

イノシシ革は20年以上使える皮革と言われ
ヨーロッパでは
牛より軽くて強いイノシシの革を
【孫の代まで継ぐ革】として
祖父のカバンを、孫のお財布に作り変えるほど強い革、オーストリッチやクロコダイルに並ぶ高級な革として扱われています
日本でも昔は、火消し（消防団）がかぶる頭巾にも使われていました

⚪︎本製品は天然皮革のため、色むらや傷、シワなどの天然皮革特有の個性や、染色時の化学反応でついた黒っぽい斑点や白化などが見られる場合があります。
⚪︎特に野生傷はイノシシが山の中で生きていた証であり、野生革のみに見られる特徴です。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDでは、強度に影響のある箇所を除き、革それぞれの個性・イノシシが生きていたストーリーとしてあえて傷をそのまま使用しています。野生革の味わいとして楽しんでいただけたら幸いです。
⚪︎ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDで使用している革は、ミモザやアカシアを主な原料とする天然成分でなめし・染色をしており、時期や個体差によってカラーの違いなどがあります。ご了承ください。
⚪︎天然皮革は雨や汗などの水分で濡れた場合、色ムラやシミになる場合があります。または色落ちにより衣類等を汚す場合がありますのでご注意下さい。万一濡れた場合は水分をよく拭き取ってから陰干しして下さい。

Bicolor Spring-Frame Mini Pouch (Gibier Leather – Wild Boar Leather)

A compact bicolor pouch with a spring-frame opening—
just pinch it with one hand and it pops open.

At 9 cm × 9 cm,
its perfectly palm-sized shape is simply delightful.

Use it for coins,
earphones, jewelry,
medication,
or whatever suits your needs.

The more you use it,
the more lustrous, soft, and supple the leather becomes.
Its color will deepen beautifully over time.

Each piece is a “fragment of life”
from a wild boar that once ran freely
through the mountains of Isahaya.

We use only genuine wild boar leather from animals culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture—
each hide transformed from fur to leather in the Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD atelier.

The number of wild boars culled each year continues to rise,
and most of them are unfortunately discarded.

For the lives taken out of necessity,
we hope to at least honor them
by using every part with gratitude.

That is why each item is crafted entirely by hand.

About Wild Boar Leather

Wild boar leather is known to last more than 20 years.
In Europe, it is cherished as “leather to be passed down to the grandchildren”—
lighter and stronger than cowhide,
so durable that a grandfather’s bag might be remade into a grandchild’s wallet.
It is considered a high-end leather, valued alongside ostrich and crocodile.
In Japan, it was once used for firefighters’ protective hoods.
• Resistant to water, friction, and scratches
• Extremely lightweight (about two-thirds the weight of cowhide)
• Maintenance-free leather with properties similar to human skin
• Tanned and dyed with natural ingredients such as mimosa and acacia—safe for everyone from babies to the elderly

Before Purchasing – Please Read
• Because this is natural leather, it may show color variations, scars, wrinkles, or dark/white speckles caused by natural reactions during dyeing.
• Wild marks (scars) are proof of the boar’s life in the mountains and are unique to wild leather.
• At Gibier Leather HUMMINGBIRD, we intentionally keep these marks—except those affecting durability—as part of the leather’s individuality and the animal’s life story. We hope you enjoy these natural characteristics.
• Our leather is tanned and dyed using natural materials such as mimosa and acacia, so colors may vary depending on season and individual hide.
• Natural leather may stain, discolor, or transfer dye when exposed to water (rain, sweat, etc.). If it gets wet, please wipe it thoroughly and dry it in the shade.
• Leather is delicate. Please handle it with care so it can be enjoyed for many years.
