こちらは長崎県諫早市内で駆除され
ジビエレザーHUMMINGBIRDのアトリエで
毛皮から革になった
イノシシ本革のみを扱っています

イノシシの駆除数は
年々増加しており
そのほとんどが廃棄されているのが現状です

やむを得ず、駆除されたいのち
せめて最後まで
大切にいただきたい

その想いで全て手作業で仕上げています

A new L-Zip Mini Wallet has been born from a precious fragment of wild boar life.

This timeless, easy-to-use wallet design is slim enough to slip into your pocket, yet surprisingly spacious inside.
Despite its compact size, it comfortably holds your essentials — and when fully zipped, your coins stay securely inside.

For this latest collection of five pieces, we’ve added a new feature: two separate card pockets.
The pockets are generously sized, allowing even business cards to fit with ease.

From Fur to Leather — Honoring Life in Nagasaki

The wild boar used for this leather was culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.
At the atelier of Gibier Boar Leather HUMMINGBIRD, the hide is carefully transformed from fur into leather by hand.

Wild boar culling numbers increase each year in Japan, and most of the hides are discarded.
Lives taken out of necessity deserve, at the very least, to be honored until the very end.

With that belief, every piece is handcrafted with care and gratitude.

Wild boar leather is said to last over 20 years.
In Europe, it is valued as a leather “to be passed down to the next generation.” It is lighter and stronger than cowhide, sometimes treasured enough to remake a grandfather’s bag into a grandchild’s wallet. It stands alongside ostrich and crocodile as a luxury leather.

Historically in Japan, it was even used for traditional firefighters’ hoods due to its strength and durability.

Why Wild Boar Leather?

◎ Strong against water, friction, and scratches
◎ Remarkably lightweight (about 2/3 the weight of cowhide)
◎ Close in composition to human skin — low-maintenance leather
◎ Tanned and dyed entirely with natural ingredients (mimosa and acacia), safe for all ages

• As this is natural leather, variations in color, wrinkles, scars, and markings may be present. Small dark specks or light spots can occur naturally during tanning and dyeing.
• Wild scars are proof of the boar’s life in the mountains and are unique to wild leather.
• At Gibier Boar Leather HUMMINGBIRD, we intentionally preserve these characteristics unless they affect durability, honoring each hide’s life story.
• Because we use plant-based tanning materials, colors may vary slightly depending on season and individual hide.
• Natural leather may stain or transfer color if exposed to rain or sweat. If wet, gently wipe and air-dry in the shade.
• Leather is delicate — please handle with care and enjoy it for many years to come.
