【HUMMINGBIRDのジビエレザー】
こちらで使用しているジビエレザーは、長崎諫早市で害獣として駆除されたイノシシを使用。
たくさん駆除されたイノシシをジビエ肉として活用されるのもほんのわずかです。
〈いのちをつなぐ〉という思いで、このしなやかさと強さを兼ねたイノシシの皮を自分たちで塩揉みし、鞣し業者にて鞣し及びナチュラルな染色をしてもらうことでジビエレザーとしての価値を高め、更に丁寧な制作により【HUMMINGBIRD印】のジビエレザープロダクトとなります。
野生獣の原皮を活用しているため、最善の傷跡やナチュラル染色の風合いはそれぞれ、そして、その経年変化を含めお楽しみ下さい。

Fully Hand-Stitched Lighter Case

This is a BIC J23 lighter case crafted from gibier leather (wild boar leather) and finished with entirely hand stitching.

It comes with a convenient antique-style carabiner, and a lighter is included.

HUMMINGBIRD Gibier Leather

The gibier leather used in our products comes from wild boars culled in Isahaya City, Nagasaki, as part of wildlife population control.

Although many wild boars are culled, only a small portion is utilized as game meat.
With the belief of “connecting life,” we carefully salt-rub the hides ourselves, then work with professional tanners for tanning and natural dyeing.
Through this process, and with meticulous craftsmanship, each piece becomes a HUMMINGBIRD-branded gibier leather product.

Because we use genuine wild hides, each item features natural marks, scars, and variations from natural dyeing.
Please enjoy these characteristics along with the beautiful aging of the leather over time.
